Would recommend to anyone. Very pleased July 5, 2008 NIV Large Print Reference Bible, Personal Size, Thumb Indexed (Black Bonded Leather) This was a gift for my husband for father's day. He has the KJV but wanted one that was in today's language which makes it easier to read and understand. It also is the version our pastor uses so this makes it easier to follow along with him when he is reading. This one is perfect for someone in our age group (60-70's) since the large print is so easy to see but the entire Bible is here with an average size Bible, not big and bulky. The tabs are a bit small and a little hard to see but I'm sure with time anyone will get used to it. bible April 28, 2008 this reference bible was just what i needed,not to heavy,easy to read,and is broken down for you to understand better and find what you are looking for. I love the larger font and the thumb index that helps me get to the book I want quickly. And the price was good too...well worth it. Beautiful Bible January 12, 2008 I bought this Bible as a gift for my mother. It has a nice, pebble-grained leather cover, and the print is large enough to be easily readable for someone with a bit of a vision problem. It's a good size, too: not so big as to make it hard to handle. The references are good and will make it easy to look things up. The burgundy color was a little darker than I expected, but it's beautiful nonetheless. I took it to a local Christian bookstore and had my mother's name engraved on it. It looked wonderful, and my mother loved it.
