A year ago, one passionate night with her three best friends sent Regina `Reggie' Fallon running scared. What kind of woman is in love with three men simultaneously, much less makes love with them?
A faceless assailant almost costs Reggie her life while on duty - something that every police officer knows can happen at any time. What is unusual is the fact that the attack seemed personal, like the murderer targeted her out of some kind of vengeance.
The attack brings Cam, Sawyer, and Hutch back into her life, and not one of these men will take no for an answer. First and foremost, they'll heal and protect her. But after that, they want answers as to why their best friend has been avoiding them for the last year, as well as hope for a future relationship with her. Lifelong friends, these men have it all worked out, they just have to convince Reggie to give their unusual proposition a chance. Oh, and keep her alive.
I am a shameless fan of romances that feature a ménage relationship, and so I read a lot of stories with this theme. Because of that, I especially appreciate it when an author delivers such a story with a unique spin, just as Maya Banks has done once again in her new Berkley title, BE WITH ME.
Here we have a quartet of friends who have loved each other for most of their lives. When that love culminates in a night of love making Reggie shares with all three men unexpectedly, she is understandably overwhelmed and even frightened.
How can she be in love with all three men at once? How can each of those men accept her romantic love for the other men, no matter that their friendship is closer to a brotherhood than mere friends? How can they possibly keep this new element to their relationships from destroying the most important friendships each of them has ever had?
In the year that Reggie has run from them, the guys have had time to work out their side of things, and even made plans to further their combined relationship with the woman they all love more than life itself. Where Reggie is concerned, these men are all on the same page, and go after the woman of their dreams with single-minded focus. The only thing that will stop them is if Reggie herself tells them she just isn't interested. Cam, Sawyer and Hutch all treat her with utmost care and respect, always considering her needs above their own.
In turn, Reggie gives each man something he needs. There is a part of her that fits each man like a glove, but the trick is balancing those three relationships on both an individual level and as a group. The fact that these three guys have lived most of their lives as adopted brothers makes that much easier, as there is real caring between each member of this quartet.
When things start to really come together, the resulting love scenes are bone-melting hot! Read BE WITH ME sitting down, because it is bound to make your knees weak... LOL But then, fans of author Maya Banks would expect nothing less from one of her erotic romances!
BE WITH ME doesn't rely on only the romance to entertain, however. Ms. Banks delivers a suspense plot as thrilling as the romance. The very nice thing about this one is that even though the heroes work hard to protect their woman, Reggie is a kick-butt heroine who is more than capable of protecting not only herself, but the people she loves, and never hesitates to act.
BE WITH ME is a well-rounded story that combines sizzling romance with an intriguing mystery, all topped off with a dose of action. Bravo to Maya Banks for penning a story this reviewer is absolutely wild about!

When I feel bereft as I am reading the last page of a book because I don't want it to end, I know it is a great story. I have to say, I felt bereft when I finished reading `Be With Me', by Maya Banks. Ms. Banks threw out her hook and line and reeled me in from the first page.
`Be With Me', isn't just an erotic romantic fantasy involving a woman and three men in a ménage a quatre relationship, it's a story about friendship, deep devotion and love. The thing I really admire about Maya Banks is not only her gift for writing a wonderful, exciting, sensuous and action packed story, but it's the depth of the characters she creates and how they are woven into the plot.
Regina "Reggie" Fallon, is an intelligent, tough no nonsense, policewoman who has been friends with Cam, Sawyer and Hutch since childhood. All three of the men are everything a girl wants to see in a story's heroes, as in drop dead gorgeous and sexy. However, each of the guys has a unique endearing personality. Cam is brilliant, analytical and essentially the peacemaker of the family. Sawyer is strong, volatile and exudes an almost animalistic aura. Hutch is tough, but with an innate sensitivity and endearing sweetness, and, this boy can cook! One of the other things I thoroughly enjoy about Maya Banks' characters is their wit and humor and `Be With Me' is no exception. Reggie has a razor sharp tongue and has no compunction about speaking her mind, she keeps all three of the men in her life on their toes!
The plot of this story is unpredictable and packed full of exciting twists and turns. However, the story is also believable because the characters go though the type of conflict, tension and sacrifice that one would expect as they attempt to make a relationship of this nature work. As always, in Ms Banks' books the love scenes are graphic but beautifully written and sensuality flows from the pages.
Ms Banks has also written in a suspense/mystery subplot with heart thumping action sequences that will have you sitting on the edge of your seat.
`Be With Me', is one of the best contemporary erotic romances I've read this year and in my humble opinion, it is definitely deserving of an `A' grade.
Bravo Ms Banks! I cannot wait to read Maya Banks' next publication.

Cam Douglas, Hutch Bishop, and Sawyer Pritchard have always loved one woman - Reggie Fallon. They never thought about being with anyone else because she had full and total ownership of their hearts. Her love for them was equally consuming, but she was always afraid that she would have to decide between them at some point, and she knew she wouldn't be able to. Her greatest fear was hurting the men she loved so dearly. The night they all gave into desire, she was frightened to the bottom of her soul, and fled from her men. She ran for an entire year until the night she almost died in the line of duty.
Reggie was a proud strong police officer, and hated showing weakness, but while recuperating in the hospital, she was so grateful to have her Birdie there. Birdie raised Cam, Hutch, and Sawyer, but also Reggie in the ways that mattered most. She had a family, but they never had time, or really wanted a child. From Birdie, she received the unconditional love that every child craves. She knew from Birdie's presence that it was just a matter of time until her men came. When the trio showed up to take her home, she knew her days of running were over. They were all going to have to face the past together, if there was going to be a future. What they did not anticipate was the danger that followed Reggie to reemerge with a vengeance.
What a great new story from MB! She is already a must buy for me, but I am always surprised how she brings new elements to each offering. While the ménage was anticipated, she focused a lot on the more emotional issues. We got to see the internal upheaval, compromise, insecurities, and jealousies that can occur dealing with this type of dynamic relationship. This book is full of suspense, multifaceted characters, and enough eroticism to make you melt! Definitely a must read!!

Okay, so I did really like this book. I bought and read it today. It was very sensual and romantic. 3 men who love the same woman and she loved them back but didn't really understand how to make it work so she was scared to give in for a large part of the book.
I was dazzled by Maya's previous book, Colters Woman, so I did kind of expect it would be a bit like that, but it wasn't. The heroine in that story was much more "agreeable", and the males more "alpha" (I know I know, that isn't always a good thing...) so the love scenes in that book were more fluid, less conflicted and awkward, and best of all, more FREQUENT. This particular story was filled with such conflict on all sides from all parties that it took a while for things to really get hot and heavy and for the juices to really start flowing, you know? DON'T GET ME WRONG, it was still really great and very erotic. But I did have some trouble constantly shifting gears between all the different issues that the guys were having, on top of hers as well; jealousy, insecurity, etc. I wanted so bad for them to just go for it that I was really panting for more by the time things started really heating up.
I don't like to criticize Maya's work. I still gave it 4 stars. A very romantic and also tightly woven story with mystery, love, intrigue, and suspense all rolled in to one. I just adore her romantic menage love stories so much, I really wanted it to "get there" a little quicker than it did. That's just me being impatient for her HOT love scenes that we all love so much!!!

Police officer Regina Fallon is the daughter of an affluent politician, who cared more about his political career than his daughter. At home she was all alone growing up; but outside Regina became friends with three orphaned street urchins (Hutch, Cam and Sawyer) taken in by kind caring Birdie who showered them with love; an emotion she never received at home. The trio and their "mom" gave her companionship until the night she had sex with each of the boys. Embarrassed she fled.
However, in the present Regina misses her buddies as the loneliness is overwhelming. Worse a psychopath stalks her with the intent to kill her and her loved ones. When Hutch, Cam and Sawyer learn from Birdie she was hurt on the job, they arrive to protect her; not understanding that they are targets of a deranged killer since she obviously loves all three of them and Birdie. They reject her pleas for them to leave; instead they offer her their love (figuratively and literally).
BE WITH ME is a fascinating erotic romantic suspense that though well written with strong characters is not for everyone. Regina and the three men in her life are definitely in her life as ménage a quatre makes for a different type of shared passion. The stalker subplot adds tension, but is more of a matchmaking scheme that brings back the former juvenile delinquents into the life of the woman they adore, cherish and love.
